PSP Homebrew and Hacking. Well, today was big stuff. I got emulators running.. Lets just say they are a major Pain the the ass! For firmware 3. 4. OE- AWith NES Emulator: It would run from the 3. Kernel but the Nester. J that I downloaded was corrupted.. Lovely. when I got one that wasn't corrupt then I just made a folder named "roms" in the Nester. J folder and put my roms in there. Poof.. old games on it. Edit step. 2Flash the IPL. For PSP 1. XXX and 2. XXX, you will need to launch the “CIPL Flasher,” found in the Game menu. This will change the IPL (Initial Program Loader), which will set your custom firmware to launch when the system boots. Edit step. 3Run Fast Recovery. For PSP 3. XXX and PSP Go, you will need to run Fast Recovery after each boot, because the IPL cannot be flashed on these systems. Running Fast Recovery will load your custom firmware after booting. Edit step. 4Delete your install files. After flashing the IPL, your PSP is hacked and ready to go. You can delete the CIPL Flasher and PRO Update files. Be sure to keep Fast Recovery if running 3.
